Legal Hybrid conducts legal-grade open-source investigations (OSINT) and HUMINT research, with solid experience in emerging markets, often in challenging conditions.

Drawing from 25+ years of expertise, I have a sound understanding of the complex legal context in frontier countries.

Her Africa and Asia experience dates back to the 1990s, and she is particularly well-versed in anything that has to do with China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Free Trade Zones.

Currently prioritizing Maritime Intelligence and complex Dark Fleet issues.

About the founder: Marie-Claire Aarts LL.M.

Marie-Claire Aarts holds a Master’s in International Law from Utrecht University in The Netherlands.

She was published in the Washburn Law Journal and authored e.g. the legal sections of PWT market entry briefs (Southeast Asia), and several in-house legal textbooks on Globalization, on International trade blocks, on Free Trade Zones, on International Business & Trade, and European Law for the Dutch distant-learning university, LOI.

Legal Hybrid is registered in the Netherlands.
